Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2026
Viaru is a free tool for sharing a destination via a QR code or link. By using it, you agree to the following.
1. The service
Viaru lets you search for or paste a location and generate a shareable link/QR code. Opening that link shows the destination and offers to open it in Google Maps, Apple Maps, or Waze.
2. No warranty
Viaru is provided "as is." We don't guarantee uptime, the accuracy of search results, or the availability of third-party mapping services. Always confirm your destination before relying on it, especially for important trips.
3. Accurate, honest use
You agree to only create destinations you have the right to create, and — if representing a business — only using a verified link we've issued to that business. Don't use Viaru to mislead anyone about a location.
4. Business tool
Businesses using our verified-link tool are responsible for keeping their destinations accurate. We may revoke a business's access if it's used to misrepresent a location or impersonate another business.
5. No liability
To the extent permitted by law, Viaru and its operators aren't liable for damages arising from use of the service, including incorrect destinations or issues with third-party map apps.
6. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use of Viaru after a change means you accept the new terms.
7. Contact
These terms are intentionally simple, written for our pilot phase. Before a full commercial launch, we recommend a proper legal review.
